Kate Starkis

Kate was born and raised in Canberra. She started her career as a Registered Nurse in Sydney before moving overseas to Thailand and Taiwan, where she worked for 15 years. Kate has worked on many Community Development projects, which include; installing water filtration systems and bathrooms in remote villages, rebuilding homes after the 2004 tsunami and implementing a scholarship program which allowed disadvantaged children to finish high school and access further education. Kate has always had a passion for helping people get the best access to health care.

Following her return to Australia, Kate worked in a pedorthic clinic helping people with difficult-to-fit feet, find the right orthopaedic shoes. Currently, Kate is helping to set up our newly opened In Motion Footwear fitting service, whilst also finding time to assist clients with their physical therapy programs.

Kate is a mum/step mum to 5 kids, ranging in ages 4-24 years old. She is also a newbie cattle farmer and chook lover.
